No, I have not met myself in EVE, but I did find something I was not expecting.

I was running some plexes in our nullsec space.  It was a quite Sunday evening for me and I wanted to grind away for some isk.  I scan down a plex, warp in and I find this floating in space:

I am thinking, what is this, some kind of new asteroid layout for plex sites?  I click on the object and I begin to laugh.  I can’t believe what I am seeing.  I check the info and this is what I see:

Yup, Stonehenge in Space.  I fell out of my chair laughing.  For over three years this Druid has wandered through New Eden and finally, I find the standing stones of the ancients, floating in space.

Hats off to CCP, this little gem is well placed in my humble opinion, but I may be biased.

It’s been a week now and I have been busy.

Yup, I have been doing my ‘Pirate Penance’, so to speak.  That long and boring grind to restore one’s security status from -9.9 to something more useful when traveling through high security space.

WHAT?!?!?  You are no longer a pirate?!?!?!  Are you mental!?!?!?!

Well, I may be mental at times, but yes, I have left the pirate life behind me.  Left it behind….for now.  Many thanks to the Evil Kitty Federation for allowing me to hang out in their space.  It’s made this sec status grind a lot more bearable.

I am looking to have some fun with Faction Warfare.  I am planning on completing the repair to my sec status and then enroll my one man corp into faction warfare.  It should be fun.

There are things that even a three year EVE veteran have not seen.  For me, it was a ‘Holy Grail’.  The ever elusive ‘Officer Spawn’.

So, what happens to me last night?  I manage to log on and NPC rat for a while, jump into a system and in the first belt, I see a 5 battleship spawn.  Unusual I think.  The words are on the overview and as I lock the target, the name repeats in my mind.  Kaikka Peunato, Kaikka Peunato.  Why do I know that name.  HOLY FRAK…..IT’S AN OFFICER SPAWN!!!!

I close in and engage this sucker.  For some reason, my web will not activate when I am in range, but I don’t care, he’s taking damage quickly.  A few moments later, pop he goes.  Funny, his wreck is now 45 km away.  Must be another desync.  I fly as fast as I can to the wreck, gather the loot and fly back to my home  base in this lovely region of 0.0 space.  I drop everything into my hanger and look at the spoils.

Not too shabby, a couple hundred million isk if I play the contracts right with my alt in Jita.  So, I get everything into a covert ops and fly it out to low sec, pick it up with my trading alt and it’s isk in the wallet in a few days.

On my way back, I encounter a huge bubble camp and low and behold, as I get within jump range of the gate, disconnect.  I log back on and I am in a fresh clone in my 0.0 base.  Yup, lost the covert ops and the pod (http://www.eve-druid.com/kb/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=74071).  Good thing it was on the return trip, otherwise I would be rather drunk and sad right about now.

So, finally, I got an Officer Spawn.  Finally.  It’s not the best of them, but it was one.  Isk was decent and the sec status gain from it was a nice boost.  I’m happy.  One more milestone for me.
