Today was an epic U’K roam, the kind of thing that makes you very happy to log onto EVE on a Sunday. I’m not going into details as Ombey has a wonderful recounting of the day on his blog. Head over to Ombeve and read the post, http://ombeve.co.uk/blog/?p=787.

I think that’s the first roam I’ve ever been on where we were both online at the same time. Just a great roam and what a sight; 40 AFs flying through space. Took a couple of screen shots but the ships are too small to really get a feel for how large/impressive of a fleet this was.
The MS was just the icing on an already good roam.

Funny, you recruited me over a month ago and it's the first time we've flown together.

I am still trying to understand this MS deployment and the logic behind it. It was supporting a 2 BS gate camp? That just seems silly to me. Why in the heck did they put a MS on a gate without proper scouting in surrounding systems. Just seems foolish to me.

The bubble wasn’t even a drag bubble, it was set up 75km off gate but strangely positioned. His cargo-hold was full of salvage and crap mods so he may have been targeting ratters (which doesn’t make sense either as they are NRDS).
Maybe he just wanted to take it for a spin and thought hanging out in a known “U’K thoroughfare” as being a smart idea.

I can understand carrier/mom support for a gate camp, but keep the capital near a POS when delegating fighters, don't have it sit on a gate FFS. That's just asking to get ganked.
