A busy week, some fun stuff to read about, here you go!
- Roc over Roc’s Ramblings continues his story, it’s getting interesting…
- Rettic continues to mix music for our enjoyment. He’s released the War Suite, enjoy!
- Kale Ryoko has released, in case you have not heard, a very wonderful video entitled Future Proof. It’s a great video and I promise you will be entertained.
- Clown Punchers announced that they are leaving EVE. I will say, I am shocked and dismayed. I was entertained by their podcast and they always seemed to be a fun bunch of folks. I do hope they change their minds and come back. Clowns, you will be missed!
- Nashh Kadavr and his Celebrity Death Match return from it’s hiatus!
- EVE: The Burning Life was delivered to my door earlier this week. You can pick up your copy in Hardback, Softback or for the Kindle. I’ve already finished reading my copy. It’s a good read with a really good story. I don’t want to spoil it for you, but it’s not told from the Capsuleer perspective and honestly, I really like how the entire story comes together. The twist at the end may have been slightly predictible, but it adds another level of immersion to our gaming universe for a person’s motivations on certain “questionable” actions. It’s a cool portrayal of the events. You will have to read it to see what I mean.
- As always, update work for the blogs listed on The EVE Online Portal and the OPML download files Mandrill and I maintain continues.
Happy Easter everyone and see you out there!

Hiya Galen, yea I 'm reading Burning Life right now as well. It is a good read but it's also a bit corny (talking about the beginning where the agent is talking about sending pilots on courier missions for radioactive cows and engineers), the only criticism I have for the book has to do with his word usage. Story structure isn't bad and it flows well but when I come across the many stumbling blocks it bugs me to have to stop and think. Passages like: "the machine was LACED with hoses and tubes". It's a small thing and most may not notice but you can't lace a machine with tubes. Yes, I'm being very critical and that sucks but I associate it with trying to improve my writing, which in turn ruins my reading experiences.
But it is a good read and written well from the genre of being about a video game. I wouldn't call it a great work of art but a nice piece of art.

English is not the author's first language, hence the creative words used in the fashion they are used. Something I noticed is that there are a few typoes in the Kindle edition of the book that are not in the print copy. Yeah, I pre-ordered the print copy and bought the kindle edition as I was impatient, I wanted to read the book.
As for it's greatness, I have to agree, it's not a ground breaking work, but it does add to the flavor of the EVE Universe.
